A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR DOUG

Every year in late July or early August I find myself saying, "another year of camp has already come and gone." In the spring of the year we hustle to make everything happen for another year of camp, and frankly, it is overwhelming sometimes. But at the end of the summer I always look back and become more and more thankful that God put the vision for this camp on my heart. 


It has grown beyond all I could have ever imagined, and I am at the point where I simply look at God in amazement and say, "What are you going to do next?" 


He always shows Himself faithful. He is faithful to meet all the needs we have for camp. He is faithful to provide new vision for each year. Most importantly, He meets the youth who attend Summer Scream right where they are and, as a result, there are always many testimonies to share.

These snippets of what only a few campers have said to us are just a sampling of the mighty things God has done and will continue to do at Summer Scream. We have received many letters from youth and youth leaders alike that speak to the life-changing impact that Summer Scream has had at the level of the local church.

We work to make improvements year round and are already gearing up for camp in late winter and early spring.
